Star Wars Rebellion is the latest Star Wars game from Fantasy Flight Games and is due for release in the UK on the 13th April. The actions of a handful of men and women shape the course of the Galactic Civil War in Star Wars: Rebellion, a board game of epic conflict between the Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance.
In Star Wars: Rebellion, you control the entire Galactic Empire or the fledging Rebel Alliance. You have to command the star ships, account for all of the troop movements and rally systems to your cause. More than 150 plastic miniatures and two game boards featured account for thirty two of the Star Wars galaxy’s most notable star systems, Star Wars: Rebellion aspires to be as large and sweeping as the Star Wars universe itself.
Yet for all its grandiosity, Star Wars: Rebellion still remains intensely personal, cinematic and heroic. Your forces are led by iconic heroes or villains. Including characters such as Leia Organa, Mon Mothma, Grand Moff, Tarkin and Emperor Palpatine. These leaders and their individual talents drive everything you do. As civil war spreads throughout the galaxy, these leaders are invaluable to your efforts and the secret missions they attempt will evoke many of the most inspiring moments from the classic trilogy. You might send Luke Skywalker to receive Jedi training on Dagobah or have Darth Vader spring a trap that freezes Han Solo in carbonite!
Star Wars: Rebellion packs an astonishing amount of the classic Star wars trilogy into a relatively compact ruleset. Each game round encompasses just three phases, yet as you play through those phases, you will encounter massive fleet battles, desperate attempts at espionage, Jedi training, political manoeuvrings and even the possibility to lure important Rebel heroes to the dark side of the Force.
This game is suitable for 2-4 players aged 14 years or older and can be played within an average playing time of 3-4 hours. Available here.
